    6063 belong to low alloy aluminum - magnesium - silicone high plastic alloy, has the following main advantages: (1) with moderate intensity after heat treatment, high impact toughness, is not sensitive to gap;(2) have good thermoplastic, can high speed extrusion into various section of complex thin-walled hollow profile, wide range of quenching temperature, the quenching sensitivity small, thin wall profiles can be directly on the extrusion machine air cooling quenching;(3) good welding performance, can be welding, arc welding, resistance welding and brazing, good corrosion resistance, no stress corrosion cracking tendency;(4) easy to anodic oxidation coloring.Defect is parked effects, such as parking at room temperature for a period of time after quenching, will affect the strength of the alloy after aging.
 
    6063 alloy in the role of the main elements: magnesium and silicon as the main strengthening elements, form the strengthening phase Mg2Si, alloy of Mg2Si mass fraction of 0.8% or so, Mg/Si = 1.73, if the excess magnesium Mg2Si solubility in the alloy will be significantly reduced and the intensity of the fall;If the silicon excess, can make the strength increase, but will reduce the corrosion resistance of alloy and anode oxidation membrane.Chromium and manganese can improve the corrosion resistance of alloy, reduce the "parking effect".Titanium can refine casting and weld tissue, reduce the hot cracking tendency to improve elongation.High content of copper can improve the strength, but will reduce the corrosion resistance, since 6063 mainly used in architectural decoration, copper as impurity control.Iron content will damage the anodic oxidation film color, high oxidation after pitting appeared.Zinc in allowed range had no obvious effect on alloy properties.
